On the verge of bankruptcy and with State unemployment at an all time high, Californians, on November 2, 2010, voted-in the very man who is responsible for this fiasco– Jerry “moon-beam” Brown. California, what were you thinking?

Brown has been beholding to the government unions since he played a major role in the unionization of public employees back  in the 1970′s, when he was a two-term governor from 1975 to 1983.

Today the powerful public employees unions, who  have bought and paid for the California Legislature, are pushing for the enactment of a new law that would make it illegal for any city or county to declare bankruptcy without guaranteeing the terms in union contracts and to heck with the  taxpayers. What?

These same unions are spending millions in campaign money to elect submissive politicians to protect their high paying jobs which are said to be 20-30 percent higher than the same jobs in the private sector. Their retirement benefits are now higher than the pay they received while working. Does this make sense?

This unsustainable situation has resulted in deteriorated public services including no new building of freeways, halted new power plants, failing school systems, and blocking the water from the fertile Central Valley over a finger long fish. Water for fish, no water for humans. Politically correct environmentalism.

Businesses have been regulated out of business. Taxes are the highest in the nation. People are leaving for better opportunities in neighboring states. The “new” Governor Brown will do what? Is it the same old tax and spend or will he moderate and begin to lower taxes, end abusive regulations, reduce the size of government and rein-in the public employee unions. Only time will tell. In the meantime, move to Arizona.

As the debate rolls on about whether or not to build a Muslim mosque at Ground Zero, there is a Christian church that was destroyed on September 11, 2001, lying in limbo.

Ignored by New York Mayor Bloomberg and given the runaround by the New York Port Authority, the 90 year-old St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox church lies demolished at the foot of Ground Zero without any consideration or even acknowledgment of the rebuilding agreement between the State of New York and the Port Authority.

Why is it that Christians, who by the way are the majority, are always given the backseat in public policy matters. Is this yet another example of, “…let’s not upset the Muslims”, political correctness?

There is only one reason, and one reason only, that the supporters of the mosque and  “Islamic Center”  want to build near Ground Zero, and that is to declare to the Islamic world that they have defeated and conquered the Great Satin, the United States. This is more than an insult, it is blasphemy. Look at how the Muslim Ottoman Empire converted the church of the Byzantine Empire, Agia Sophia, in Constantinople (today, Istanbul), Turkey, first as a mosque and now today, as a museum and a symbol of their conquest over Orthodox Christians.

This “mosque debate” is NOT about freedom of religion, it is a matter of respecting the hallowed ground where 3,000 people of all faiths were slaughtered by radical Islamic Muslims from Saudi Arabia, that bastion of religious tolerance. Let’s tell it like is.  Seventy percent of the American people are against the mosque being built at this particular site. It’s the location, NOT the religion, that so upsets the people.

According to the Associated Press (taken with a grain of salt), the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (the agency that owns ground zero) and the leaders of St. Nicholas have been negotiating a deal that would allow the church to rebuild on land farther south in exchange for financial aid to rebuild. Port Authority officials claim that the offer was rejected.

The leaders of St. Nicholas and the 300 member congregation, want to rebuild on the 1,200-square foot lot of the original property. The Rev. Alex Karloutsos, assistant to Archbishop Demetrios of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, denies any offer had been rejected and that the Port Authority pulled the deal and continues to ignore the church’s attempt at dialogue.

Former Governor of New York, Pataki, had promised that St. Nicholas would be rebuilt after the 2001 attack and recently said that the Port Authority needed to reach out to church officials.

State Senator Dean Skelos has said that now Governor Paterson, “…should step in to ensure that the State of New York and the Port Authority uphold the agreement with the Greek Orthodox Church”.

George Demas, a Long Island Republican Congressional candidate says, “All of our political leadership seem intent on assisting the mosque, at the same time they have taken no steps to make sure St. Nicholas is rebuilt”.

When the World Trade Center twin towers collapsed on 9-11-2001, only a handful of church holy objects were removed from the rubble, including a small bell-and-cross, a crucifix and wax candles that had not melted.

What is the money connection? The $100-million Islamic Center versus the $10-to-20 million rebuilding of the church. Has Mayor Bloomberg been bought off by Saudi money? Just asking the obvious.

Supporters of the mosque claim the old Burlington building is 2-blocks away from Ground Zero. Here is a flash – The Burlington Building is Part of Ground Zero! Part of the landing gear, other plane parts, as well as victims hit that building! There is a mosque 4-blocks away that can accommodate the Muslim faithful. As a matter of fact, there are hundreds of mosques all around New York City. Therefore, the argument that there is no place to worship (in this commercial district) is bogus.

The world is watching to see what Mayor Bloomberg, Governor Paterson, and the New York/New Jersey Port Authority will do about the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas and the “Cordoba” Islamic Center/Mosque.

This is Economics 101. Every time you lower taxes the revenue coffers rise. How can this be, you ask? Common sense. What happens when you lower taxes? When business people have less taxes to pay, that frees up more money that they can use to upgrade their business in the form of expansion and/or hiring new personnel. The more people they can hire means more people paying taxes which in turn raises government revenues. It’s that simple.

Joe Doe has a small restaurant with 75 tables. Let’s say he gives each server 5-tables each, making it difficult to serve customers efficiently. (Seventy-five divided by 5 equals 15.  So, he has only 15 waiters/waitresses to serve his customers). Now, if we lower his taxes, what happens? Joe will have more money to hire 10 more servers giving better service to his customers making his business more profitable. Now each server has 3 tables to wait on making it easier for them to give good customer service as well as being able to make more tips because of more customer turn-overs. Instead of only 15 servers paying taxes you now have 25 servers paying taxes which in turn increases revenues to the government by 60%.

Now, on  the opposite  side of the economic coin, we have the workers. In the above example, with lower taxes to pay; the servers, waiters and waitresses plus cooks, busboys, etc., have more discretionary income to spend on food, shelter, clothing and other wants or needs. This in turn causes the manufacturers, distributors, farmers, et al, in order to produce more goods, to expand their operations and hire more people. All of which brings in more tax revenue into the government coffers.

Very simple, right? Not to the majority Democrat Party in Congress. Since most of them have never really worked in the private sector or had jobs in the “real world”, (to understand how economics works), they have the economy going backwards under the brilliant leadership of Speaker Pelosi and Majority Reid directed by that financial genius himself, President Obama. All they talk about is raising taxes. How absurd in this economic climate.

The “mantra” of the Dems is, “tax the rich”. When you over tax the rich what happens?  The rich “close up shop” leaving everyone without a job. Isn’t this the most bone-headed decision anyone could make?

The Dems, who love to spend money, do not get it that by lowering taxes they would have truck loads of cash coming in to spend. Is this dumb or what? Not only would they have gazillions more dough to spend but they would  guarantee their staying in office, in the majority. But, alas, they have no brains. And they are supposed to be such brilliant thinkers.

How is it that the Democrats have always been racist and yet the black community keeps voting Democrat. An interesting conundrum.

Who was it that set the original slaves free? Why, a Republican president named Abraham Lincoln. And who was it that re-enslaved those who were set free? Why, a Democrat president named Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his introduction of the welfare state. And, who perpetuated this welfare state to the optimum detriment of blacks in general? Why another Democrat president, Lyndon Baines Johnson, and his Great Society.

Who was it that institutionalised the jim crow laws? Why of course, the Southern Democrats. And who blocked all attempts at desegregation in the U.S. Congress? Again, your favorite, the Democrat party.

Under Republican President Dwight Eisenhower, schools were technically desegregated  by the 1954 Supreme Court ruling  in Brown vs. Board of Education. And who was it that blocked nine black students in 1958 from attending a public high school in Little Rock, Arkansas, by using the National Guard? Why none other than Democrat Governor Orval Faubus.

In 1964, Democrat President Johnson, under pressure from the civil rights movement and chaos in the streets, pushed through the Civil Rights Act, and in 1965, the Voting Rights Act, with the overwhelming help of the Republicans in Congress, against the objections of his own Democrat party. Johnson remarked to an aide, “We have lost the South for a generation”, in anticipation of the backlash from Southern Democrat whites.

There are a  million more examples to explore (remember Governor Wallace in Alabama? Bull Connor and the “dogs of Selma”?) but not within this limited space. I’m sure you get the point. This brings us to what is happening in the U.S. today.

We now have a black president who is also a Democrat, who was elected by Democrats, Republicans, and Independents; all for different reasons. And, because of the mere fact that he is black, any criticism of him must be deemed as racist. By whom? The racists themselves.

The Democrats needed the black vote to ace out Hillary Clinton (they did not want the Clintons in office) and to bring in Obama. The Republicans and Independents were all unhappy with ex-president G.W. Bush for the wars, over-spending, the borders and illegal immigration. Without the black vote the Dems feared McCain would win.

Knowing the blind following of  black voters for the Democrats, the Dems used the race card to fire-up the blacks into voting for Obama (does ACORN ring-a-bell?). Using their usual tactics of promising everything (and never delivering on anything) the Democrats, with Obama,  promised “change” in the form of “free money”. You’ve heard the disillusioned how, “Obama is going to give me a new car, pay for my mortgage, give me a new kitchen”, etc. How’s that change working out?

Obama himself is a racist against whites. Evidence his “beer summit” with the Cambridge policeman who arrested his racist scholarly friend, not to mention his writings in his own autobiography. Democrat equals racist; whether black or white. Not all Democrats are racist however. Not all Southern Democrats are racist either. How about the Northern Democrats in Boston and school busing?

For the Left to be throwing out verbal accusations of racism is like the pot calling the kettle black (pardon the pun). Time for blacks especially to become politically better informed of who is really on their side and has their best interest at heart. The Democrats are users — they’ll use you for their own purposes. The Republicans are truly compassionate in that they love to see everyone succeed on their own no matter what color or background. Check it out for yourself don’t take my word for it. How much longer will you allow yourselves to be used by the unscrupulous Democrats.

In the last 50 years what has the Democrat party done for blacks except given broken promises. Obama has broken every promise he made during the campaign of 2008.

Now, on November 2, 2010, you can show your appreciation to the Democrats for all of their bull-jive, broken promises, and unproductive welfare dependency by voting them all out. You have the power. Take it and run with it. Power to the people.

The Democrat Majority in the House of Representatives, in a completely partisan vote, approved the Senate bill to overhaul the national healthcare system Sunday, March 21, 2010. In a disgraceful, overt demonstration of political prostitution, all the so-called  “no” voters voted yes, after selling their souls to the devil in backroom deals.  Obama and Pelosi finally had their way with these unsavory, gutless, wimpy men and women of no integrity, voting against the will of the American people. So, now what?

In less than 24 hours, 11 states attorneys general stated that lawsuits will be filed to stop the federal government from usurping their state’s sovereignty by infringing on state powers under the Constitution’s Bill of Rights.

According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, 36 state legislatures have introduced bills and resolutions seeking to limit or oppose various aspects of the reform plan through laws or state constitutional amendments.

Americans across the country are rightly outraged at the blatant takeover of healthcare by the Obama administration and the Democrat majority in the Congress. If elections were held today, all Democrats would be voted out.

This never was about healthcare, this was about government take-over of one/sixth of the economy in a slow, soft-tyranical move into socialism ala European socialistic states such as Belgium, France, Scandinavia, et al.

This can and will be repealed in the very near future — November 2, 2010, elections. In the meantime, the Obama/Chicago Mafia crowd will next try to pass legislation giving amnesty to thousands of illegal aliens in hopes of signing them up into the Democrat party before the elections come.

In a constitutional representative republic such as ours, there are built-in remedies beginning first with the freedom to vote. Next, come lawsuits, demonstrations, strikes, and the like. And, last of all, (and we pray we do not have to resort to this), is our freedom to bear arms for the purpose of taking our country back from an unscrupulous leader.

Shame on The Democrat Party. Shame on President Obama. Shame on Speaker Pelosi. Shame on Majority Leader Reid. Shame on those who voted for these misguided sons-of-the-devil who think they are smarter than we are and that they know better how we should run our lives. Unfortunately, to the Left, there is no such thing as shame. “Ain’t that a shame”, that they know no shame.

The latest terrorist attack that occurred Christmas Day, as Northwestern Flight 253 was approaching Detroit, Michigan, for a landing, reminds us once again that the war against us from Muslim terrorists is still going strong. They are not about to give up.

What is the Democrats response? They blame the Republicans for voting against $4 billion for “screening operations”. We don’t need more money, we need better security. The Nigerian “underwear bomber” Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was thwarted by citizens on the plane and not by “screening operations”. Homeland security failed. Why? They are not doing the obvious – profiling Muslims.

This was the 28th foiled terror plot against the United States since 9-11-2001. Twenty-six plots were stopped by intelligence, military, and law enforcement agencies. This one and the “shoe bomber” plot were stopped by the people on the planes. (The airlines in 2001 were warned of some type of shoe bomb. A stewardess spotted Richard Reid trying to light his shoe and with assistance of passengers subdued him). What is President Obama’s reaction (after 3 days)? This is just “…an isolated extremist”. Oh, really? How many Muslim “isolated extremists” does it take to ring a bell?

How is it this 23-year-old Nigerian man had connections to al-Qaeda in Yemen and that  al-Qaeda, in Yemen,  is claiming responsibility for the attempted bombing of Flight 253? Does this sound like an isolated incident? Questions, questions, there are so many questions NOT being asked.

The main question that should be asked repeatedly is, “Why are we not profiling Muslims”? Do you think El Al Airlines of Israel is worried about “political correctness”? El Al is the SAFEST airlines to fly because of the fact that El Al, PROFILES MUSLIMS!

The Nigerian was once a mechanical engineering student at University College, London, in 2005-2008 and in the academic year 2006-07 was president of the student union’s Islamic Society who organized “War on Terror Week”, being heavily involved in radical political activity; confessing on an internet message board of having “jihad fantasies”.

He also lived in Yemen for one year in 2004-2005 and again from August-December, 2009. He is a known affiliate of Anwar al-Awlaki the U.S.-born extremist imam, who is hiding-out with al-Qaeda in Yemen.  The would-be bomber was with al-Qaeda and al-Awlaki up to the time he boarded the plane for Detroit, by way of Amsterdam. Is this an example of “isolated extremism”? You decide.

The Fort Hood terrorist Nidal Hasan was also connected with al-Awlaki and Yemen al-Qaeda. Was he an “isolated extremist”? Don’t think so.

Two of  the men behind the bomb plot were released from U.S. military detention at Guantanamo Bay in November, 2007. Sent to Saudi Arabia, they were soon released and moved to Yemen, becoming leaders of al-Qaeda on the Arabian peninsula. More “isolated extremists”?

This is al-Qaeda’s attack technique – using lone terrorists to wreak havoc wherever they are sent. Arab Muslims during the 12th century used similar tactics of using small groups to terrorize the countryside conquering villages and later cities, spreading Islam around the Mediterranean.

The 23-year-old Nigerian was reported by his own father to the American Embassy, and C.I.A., in Nigeria, as being a jihad radical. What happened to that information? Nobody knows. (Maybe the C.I.A. is worried about being prosecuted by the Obama administration. You think?).

Suspicious persons, meaning Muslims, should be routed to secondary screening at airports and carefully scrutinized. There needs to be greater emphasis in ferreting out the jihadists before they can enter an airport. No fly lists should be shared with other countries. It is time to get serious about homeland security. We need to profile or our nation will suffer the consequences. Profiling is not a dirty word. Profiling also protects the Muslims who are not onboard with the radical extremists.

This is where strong leadership is of utmost importance. The first job of government is national defense. Unfortunately, we are not getting the leadership we need. We are being led by the “can’t shoot straight” gang of incompetence, ignorance, indifference, and indecision. There is a wake-up call coming  and we had better be ready or there will be hell to pay.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, a suspected jihadist by the F.B.I.,  jumped  up onto a desk and shouting “Allahu Akbar” (Arabic for “ Allah is Great”) opened fire into a room full of unsuspecting soldiers and civilians killing 13 and wounding over 30. You have seen the news on TV and read the papers. Hasan was finally brought down by a five foot-two  Fort Hood member of the Special Reactions Team, Kimberly Munley, 34, with four shots. She, along with her partner Sgt. Mark Todd, were both wounded by Hasan. How is it that the media wants to portray this deranged monster as the “victim”?

The answer is – “political correctness”. It was political correctness that prevented the Army from firing the psycho-psychiatrist because he belongs to a “protected class” – Muslim. God forbid, that the Army should be accused of  “profiling”, or discriminating against,  a Muslim. 

Maj. Hasan was reprimanded several times while working at Walter Reed Hospital in D.C., for arguing with his patients about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and for trying  to proselytize as well, while treating those with mental problems. He was given a poor evaluation and eventually transferred to Ft. Hood, Texas. Why? Instead of firing the Major from service, what do they do? They transfer him out to Texas. As if this will solve the problem. The Army failed in not discharging Hasan because of his anti-American views. This is a grave dereliction of duty on the Army’s part.

Political correctness runs rampant in the press. To the press it is “taboo” to speak ill of Muslims. So what do they do? They try to make out that the Major was somehow suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSS) when he had never been in the war. Then, the media try to explain that because Hasan treated so many warriors suffering from PTSS, and being himself ordered to go to Afghanistan, when he did not want to go, he snapped. How absurd.

The Major was signaling at every turn his propensity to becoming a jihadist, from sites on the internet to telling fellow officers that the U.S. should not be in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that he could not kill another Muslim. Plus, all infidels (non-Muslims) should be beheaded.

 We are all aware that NOT every Muslim is a radical. However, most of the jihad radicals are all Muslim. Why is this so hard for the press to admit.

“Political correctness is going to get us all killed”, as Bridgett Gabriel is constantly warning us. The battle field is not only in Iraq and Afghanistan, it is here in our own country. There have been so many plots that have been foiled in the past several months.

One of those plots was to be an attack on the Quantico Marine base  in North Carolina. To the radical Muslims it is their duty and honor to kill  as many American solders as they possibly can, because it is the American solder that is defeating and killing them overseas. Remember the Marine who was gunned down at a recruiting office in Arkansas by an ex-con who became a recent convert to Islam while in prison? These are not isolated incidents.

Even the good Muslims are afraid to speak out against these radicals for fear of being killed. This too is political correctness gone amuck.

The White House also is guilty of political correctness when they try to warn us about “jumping to conclusions”. What? There is nothing to jump to. The facts speak for themselves. WE ARE AT WAR with Muslim fanatics world-wide. That is why we must win the war in Afghanistan. Mr. President, send the troops now.

Make no mistake, the election of  November 3, 2009, was a devastating blow to the Obama Administration. Both New Jersey, and Virginia, voted heavily in last year’s 2008 election for Barack Obama. Obama’s visit to five locations in three days in New Jersey and several days in Virginia, proved to be of no avail to any state Democrat candidates running for office this year.

 The voters know that the number one issue in the U.S. today is not health care, but, the economy. Yes, all politics is “local” and the local politics in these elections  centered around jobs and the economy. It seems, however, that the Democrats don’t care, they are still trying to ram health care down our throats.

The people are standing up and speaking out with their votes. They do not like the direction the country is heading. This is not the “change” they bargained for. Americans do not want a socialist country – they want to keep their freedom. Freedom to work, to live, and to raise their families their way and not the government’s way.

As far as the 23rd district in New York is concerned, an unknown nonpolitical ordinary citizen garnered 45% of the vote. That is also a blow to the Dems no matter what Speaker Pelosi may say. Pelosi is claiming this as a win. Well, the win is temporary. Next year, they’ll have to do it again in the mid-term election. The Dems are predicted to lose.

The public outcry against the present Administration is ongoing and gaining momentum. Reference the gathering of thousands of people showing up at the steps of the Capitol Building today, November 5,  to protest the healthcare bill. There cries of “Kill the Bill” are resounding throughout the halls of Congress as the polite crowds, led by Minnesota Representative Michelle Bachmann, confront their representatives eyeball-to-eyeball. Putting their representatives on notice that, if they vote for the current health care bill, they will not be re-elected.

No matter what religious background, all morality starts and ends with belief and faith in God. Take God out of the country and the godless will rule, destroying the society in its wake.

Our country was founded by religious Christians in order to worship in freedom. Our founding fathers wrote the Constitution based on their Christian beliefs and values. The Fathers knew that the only way our Democratic Republic would work was if the majority of the people were law-abiding based on their religiosity. Why? Because, religious morality makes you question your conscious. Is this the right thing to do, morally? Will God punish me if I do the wrong thing? This is what keeps people honest and true.

Today in our secular-based society, there is no God. Only the gods of materialism, narcissism, and sexual immorality. We are a nation gone amuck.

This is what the “progressive movement” of the early 20th century was aiming for and, unfortunately, is about to achieve. Why, about to achieve? Statistic show that, all though our nation has become more decadent, Christianity is on the rise in all parts of the country. People are searching for answers. They are beginning to realize that there exists something beyond themselves. Could this be God?

We now see the godless in charge of our country from President Obama to Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid. They all confess to be Christians, but their actions say otherwise. They are all liars and deceivers professing to be one thing and doing the entire opposite. Where is their so-called love for humanity? Where is their patriotism? Where is their pride in our nation? Where is their respect for the people of our nation? Where is their duty to uphold the Constitution? Where is their honor and integrity? Where is their tolerance of others? Unfortunately, they are missing any and all of the attributes that makes for an honest statesman. They have none of the above. They have no morality. They only own the quest for more and more power over us all. We will not give it to them.

We as a people need to return to our roots and to the values of our ancestors. Without the knowledge and acceptance of good and evil there can only be anarchy. The notion of, “what is evil to you may not be evil to me” is a bogus argument. Evil is evil. Wrong is wrong and right is right. Who gave us this knowledge? God himself.

God lays it all out for us in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. You have only two choices: to accept or reject His love for you. If you reject, you condemn yourself. If you accept, there is hope for you.

Even though there are hundreds of Christian denominations, in the beginning this was not so. There was only one church. That one church survived until the eleventh century. Then there were two churches — the Western Catholics and the Eastern Orthodox. Today, the Eastern Orthodox still remains the same. The Western Catholics, they also remain but  in a corrupt version, and, because of their breaking away, were partly responsible for the rise of Protestantism. Protestantism in turn laid the way for the Evangelicals and others. And so on and so on.

However, as Jesus Christ says, “…he who is not against us is on our side”. This is an example of Jesus’ tolerance and breadth of vision. Naturally, we want everyone to have a spiritual practice exactly like ours. But, see how many schisms have occurred in Church history because people missed this important lesson that Jesus gives here.

Where is the tolerance of the ungodly? They have none. It is either their way or the highway. America needs to re-establish its Christian roots. Only Christianity has the love and tolerance to allow all different religions to live together under one nation. Our motto still remains, “In God We Trust”.

It is said that the Western Christians go to church to learn about God, whereas Eastern Christians got to church to kiss God. We pray that we will all, as a nation, return to God.  God Bless the United Sates of America and all the world.

President Obama is not leading again. He promised to bring victory in Afghanistan during his election campaign. Now he claims that victory is not a goal. Army General Stanley A. McChrystal took command of American and NATO troops in June, 2009 (picked by Obama). The 4-star general  recommends a needed surge of over 40,000 troops to establish territorial dominance and to boost the training of the Afghan army. Obama’s reply? Can’t make up his mind. Waiting to come up with the right “strategy”. There is only one strategy – WIN THE WAR!

Now, due to the irregularities in the August Afghan elections, the administration is hiding behind the notion that political stability must be settled first. Since when? We have 60,000 troops in danger, waiting for back-up. Politics be damned. Our troops along with NATO are there to defeat the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Without military victory there can be no political solution.

Is Obama holding back until he receives his Nobel Prize in December (so as not to be accused of “disturbing the peace”)?  That is too late Mr. President. Send the 40,000 – 60,000 troops now. Think of the accolades you will receive when you bring victory to Afghanistan and secure the peace for 25 million Afghans.

Could it be that you are awaiting further advice from George Soros and the Daily Kos? My word, man, get a backbone and make the right decision to send the troops and equipment to win this war. Otherwise, the consequences will forever haunt your conscious. How can you hold back helping our fellow Americans who are fighting the good fight to keep us all safe.

Time is running out Mr. President. The longer you wait to make a decision the weaker you appear to the rest of the world and to our enemies. This can only embolden the Taliban and Al Qaeda and make us all more vulnerable to future terrorist attacks.
